The battle: 4 GDPT, 2 Sports, 1 Victory

Today, brave men and women from a small part of Noble Park called... Chanh Dao gathered all their compassion, courage, wisdom to prepare for battle to be crowned Mien Tam Minh Sports Day champions.

The other contenders were Dai Bi Quan Am of Collingwood, Dai Hoan Hy of Braybrook and Quang Duc of Fawkner. All teams raised armies of skilled soldiers. All are worthy of taking out the crown.

Chanh Dao fought a total of 7 battles. Our first battle was against the defending champions - Quang Duc. Their eyes were narrow, their heads were down and focused, ready to defend their title. On the battlefield, or as some may know it as the indoor soccer field, the battle was close but Chanh Dao came out on top - Scores are a little blurry.

Our second battle against the juggernaut Dai Bi, their army stretched as far as the eye can see, they clearly had the largest army of the four. They rotated more than Collingwood do in AFL and had fresh legs throughout the game. With such advantage, they came out on top 8 to 6.

The next battle was against Dai Hoan Hy, having the best basketball team of the four, evident from last sports day. Luckily, we fought in a gruesome battle of indoor soccer. End scores were 2 - 1. Now Chanh Dao stood tall with 2 wins and 1 lose.

Our second battle in soccer was against Dai Bi, still smiling from their recent victory over us. They too, stood at 2 wins and 1 lose. The winner of this soccer game would almost surely be springboarded to the finals. End scores were 2 - 2, draw.

Then back to the handball battlefield to fight against Dai Hoan Hy in handball. Chi hien, our defensive coach setup our backline with three thieu nu, one to the left, right and center of the red D. This proved to be a very good strategy. And we demolished Dai Hoan Hy, 12 - 2. We were pumped
Our 6th game was against the defending champion, Quang Duc in a game of handball. Again, our backline strategy proved to be to strong for the champs winning 6-5.

Triumphant and sitting atop the points ladder, we advanced to the finals. This gave us the advantage of choosing which field we were going to battle on.

Challenging Dai Bi in indoor soccer, Chanh Dao were under constant early assault. Our defence held strong but dropped a goal before the half time break. With our backs against the wall and down on the scoreboard Chanh Dao pressed and lifted for a stunning second half performance. After a bruising, narrow battle, Chanh Dao rose victorious 2-1.
